The Atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this superb Porsche 914 2. 0L, a particularly striking example in its Ravenna Green colour, paired with a Green Yellow Tartan interior for a striking effect.
As a true icon of the 1970s, the 914 wonderfully embodies Porsche’s philosophy: lightness, balance and driving pleasure. Born from a collaboration between Porsche and Volkswagen, it was designed to combine Stuttgart’s mechanical rigour with Wolfsburg’s user-friendliness.
Fun fact: it was marketed under two different brand names depending on the market — Volkswagen-Porsche in Europe and Porsche in the United States — a duality that contributed to its originality and its reputation as an accessible sports car.
This example was first registered on 24 July 1973. Imported from Catalonia to France in 2021, it is accompanied by its period technical manual.
Mechanically, the 2. 0L engine starts readily, with no unusual noises or smoke. It is smooth at low revs and eager at higher revs, offering a driving experience full of character. The starter was recently replaced and the battery has been replaced for sale.
The car benefits from KYB rear suspension and an optimised sway-bar system, ensuring precise and balanced road handling while preserving the comfort typical of the model.
Braking is effective and balanced.
The 914 Baby Fuchs styling wheels, recently fitted, look very good and are shod with new tyres.
The Ravenna Green paintwork has excellent gloss and highlights the car’s taut lines on the roadster.
The subframes are sound and free of structural corrosion.
The Green Yellow Tartan interior is in perfect condition, rare and typically seventies, pairing perfectly with the exterior colour.
This 914 is equipped with the “Appearance Group” option, including front fog lights, a distinctive central console, the central tachometer, and plaid-pattern seats.
The perforated leather door panels are in excellent condition, as are the carpets and embroidered 914 floor mats.
All of the instrumentation is functional, and the driving cockpit, typically Porsche, offers simple and efficient ergonomics.
The black hard-top is in very good condition.
