Description
Porsche 356 B T5 Roadster 1600 60 hp sold on 23 December 1960 to the famous Porsche Brumos dealership in Jacksonville, Florida, a legend of Porsche motorsport.
Imported to Italy at the end of the 1980s, it underwent a complete restoration by renowned restorers, completed in 2024, and has covered only 500 km since.
Produced in a limited run between late 1959 and early 1961 by the Drauz coachwork, as a continuation of the Convertible D, the Roadster is among the most sought-after 356s, little known even to Porsche enthusiasts and constitutes a rare collector’s piece.
The Roadster can be regarded as the culmination of the Speedster, as it retains the original features introduced in October 1954 (a sportier body and simplified equipment), while offering increased driving comfort thanks to its padded seats and panoramic windows. With only 2, 180 examples produced compared with 4, 144 Speedster, it is therefore even rarer.
In its elegant metallic-silver colour and red leather interior, like Porsche 356 No. 1 of 1948, it is in perfect condition.
Registered in Italy, it is ready for transfer or export.
It is sold with its Kardex, its Porsche-origin certificate and its ASI certificates.
I would consider a partial trade of my choice, preferably against a Porsche 964, 993, 996 or 997 built before 2006, or a car that took part in the Mille Miglia between 1927 and 1957.
