The Bonneville T120R, during the 1967-70 years, was one of the finest motorcycles on the market, offering versatility and enjoyment that remain relevant today.
The T120R is best savoured between 80 and 110 km/ h in 4th gear. Its 47bhp at 6500 rpm arrives at precisely the right moment to deliver magical sensations. The Bonneville is characterised above all by the character and fabulous torque of its engine.
The large Bonneville family underwent multiple evolutions, mainly aesthetic, before a complete overhaul of styling and chassis in 1970, and the 1968 and 69 models are without doubt the finest vintages. The styling traditions are still respected with very rounded lines, distinctive "sausage" silencers with their characteristic shape and enchanting sound, and a few minor technical modifications that give these versions slightly superior reliability and mechanical cleanliness compared to earlier models. They were produced from 1959 to 1983 at the English Meriden factory. Throughout all these years, Triumph, like Norton, achieved 80 to 85% of their sales in the USA.
This one has undergone a restoration of excellent quality by Baxter Cycle, it is equipped with the small fuel tank specific to U. S. models. It will remind you that there was a life before ABS and traction control, when riding modes were selected by twisting the throttle!...
