The Bonneville T120R, in the years 1967–70, was one of the best motorcycles on the market, offering versatility and riding pleasure that remains relevant today.
The T120R settles best between 80 and 110 km/ h, in fourth gear. Its 47 hp at 6, 500 rpm arrives right on cue to deliver magical sensations. The Bonneville is defined above all by the character and the fabulous torque of its engine.
The great Bonneville family underwent multiple evolutions mainly stylistic before a complete redesign of the styling and chassis in 1970, and the 1968 and 1969 models are undoubtedly the best of the batch. The design traditions are still respected with very rounded lines, sausage-shaped exhausts in the characteristic form with an enchanting sound, and a few minor technical tweaks that give these versions slightly higher reliability and mechanical cleanliness than the earlier models. They were produced from 1959 to 1983 at the Meriden English factory. Throughout these years, Triumph like Norton accounted for 80–85% of their sales in the USA.
This one has undergone a high-quality restoration by Baxter Cycle; it is fitted with the small tank particular to US models. It will remind you that there was a life before ABS and traction control, where driving modes were selected by turning the grip!...
