Originally delivered to the United States to a Dutchman working there at the time, the car was imported to the Netherlands in 1992 and kept for many years. In 2008, he sold it to its current owner, who still uses it today. This stunning MGB has had only two owners.
This superb red MGB has been meticulously maintained. Its exceptional condition is evident. The paintwork still boasts a deep, glossy shine, and the chrome and other finishing elements are like new. The rubbers and trim are also in perfect condition. Its authenticity is another major plus. The stunning original Rostyle wheels have been repainted and recently shod with new Michelin tyres. The body panels align perfectly and the doors shut securely and smoothly. The chromed boot rack, practical and stylish, is an undeniable asset. The hood is still in very good condition.
The interior is also in exceptional condition. The upholstery is entirely original and in excellent condition. The vinyl seats are in good condition, with a few light signs of wear, and offer superb comfort. The instrument panel is also in excellent condition and particularly appealing. This MGB dates from 1973 and therefore has a glovebox. The black steering wheel is entirely original and in excellent condition. The same goes for the door panels and the various chromed trims on this elegant roadster.
Under the bonnet, everything is impeccably clean and well maintained. It looks as if the car has just rolled off the factory floor. This MGB has recently undergone a full service (invoice available), during which several fuel lines and the tank were replaced. The original 1798 cc engine runs with exceptional smoothness and quietness, evidencing meticulous maintenance. The fitted Weber carburettor is perfectly set up and guarantees optimum performance, while the original oil cooler ensures faultless reliability. Braking is firm and effective, and the steering wonderfully smooth. The result is a MGB roadster in perfect working order, truly impressive.
