Very nice example of the Jaguar MK2 3. 8l, 1964 model year. In original colour, black, paired with a very classy British green interior, this MK2 is a car that has been fully made reliable for daily use. There are few 3. 8l versions as well upgraded with notably power steering, a Getrag 5-speed box or gas dampers.
The previous owner carried out numerous restoration works in a specialist workshop. The aim being to have a reliable and easily usable car in today’s traffic. No less than €45, 000 of expenditure has been made (invoices available).
On the engine side, among other items: replacement of sleeves, pistons, valves and valve guides; cylinder head pressure test; crankshaft resurfacing. On the front/ rear suspension side all control arms/ bushings have been replaced, suspensions updated. The clutch was removed.
Carburation was completely dismantled and synchronised. The braking system was revised and upgraded, as was the exhaust system.
The wiring loom also underwent significant restoration work.
Aesthetically, many details have been revised such as fasteners, some chrome, seals and other fittings.
A full repaint was carried out a few years ago. The bodywork today is in a good presentable condition, not concours. No corrosion detected at the inspection (sills, jambs, windscreen surround, lower wings and sills). The chrome is in excellent condition.

The latest service was performed in January 2025.
Inside, the upholstery had been restored about twenty years ago. It now shows a lovely patina with a few minor wear flaws. The headlining is in good condition as is the dashboard. The seats are also of high quality.
The original steering wheel has been replaced with a Motolita.
