Description
Here are the details regarding my Austin Cooper "Évocation". It is actually more of a rebuild than a simple restoration. The base is a 1981 model, equipped with a 998 cm³ engine. The car has been completely dismantled. The shell has been stripped, then all damaged parts have been cut out, remade, welded, and treated. The bodywork has been prepared with care, and an exceptional paint job has been applied. The cradles have been renewed, and the reassembly was carried out with new parts, chosen with a lot of taste. The interior is entirely new. The wheels are also new. The mechanics have been dismantled and put back into service, with some improvements. This 998 cm³ engine, with a suitably sized single carburettor, is still in its running-in period. A top made of first‑quality canvas has also been installed. The restoration is estimated at around €40, 000. The engineer who undertook this restoration dedicated more than two years to it, even adjusting the door leafs so that they align perfectly. Mileage is of little importance, as everything is new. Elected the fairest achievement at the Ciney 2025 Retromoteur show." ,
