I am selling a Triumph Bonneville T100 Centennial Edition 100th anniversary of 18/ 03/ 2002 with 32, 456 km.
It is part of the first 100 motorcycles built in the limited “centennial Bonneville T100” series in the Lucifer orange/ Silver colour, and this before the fire of 15/ 03/ 2002. (confirmed by an email from Michel Pagès - Sales Manager - Triumph SAS).
For a little history, 2002 marked Triumph’s 100th birthday (1902 being Triumph’s first year) and for this special event Triumph planned to produce a limited number of Centennial Bonneville T100 in a colour combination of “Lucifer orange” and silver. But on 15 March 2002, while preparations for this anniversary were in full swing, the main factory was destroyed by a fire, crippling most of its production capacity. Only a handful of T100 Centennial Edition were produced in March 2002 before the fire, making them very rare. The remaining Centennial Edition T100 models were in fact 2003 models built after repairs to the factory following the fire damage; these remaining T100s were intended to be 2003 models, as production only resumed after September 2002 (in the 2003 production year). Even combining the motorcycles produced in 2002 and 2003, only a handful of these early modern T100s were built. Although exact figures were not disclosed, the factory had announced a limited production of 500 units in total.
It is equipped with the original Triumph panniers and a fly screen, the exhausts are T. O. R which give it a pleasant, close-to-original sound but a touch raspier.
This model is fairly rare, which explains the asking price.
A small scratch on the tank is the only thing to report.
