A Citroën CX collector is letting go of a new car at auction (its first lot, a year ago, was 18) under the CX GTI 2400 – 128hp model year, manual 5-speed, from June 1981, showing 136, 500 km. As the photos show, it presents in very good overall condition for its age. For clarification, this CX has been stripped of all its interior trims and doors/ opening panels for a complete refurbishment in 2024. It’s also worth noting that this same car has always been stored dry under shelter, so there’s no rust on the lower part of the chassis.
Its MOT is OK: “no faults to report or to put right.”
For this rare model, note that the current owner has had it for around fifteen years (very little used; bought more out of passion, alongside the 18 other cars he has accumulated over the years, across all model years).
In terms of equipment: black leather interior, power steering, electric windows, isothermal windscreen, tinted glass, air conditioning, and specific alloy wheels.
Colour: Blanc Meije, code AC088.
Maintenance to date: oil change, oil filter, air filter, hoses, spark plugs, belts, timing/ distribution (chain confirmed OK after inspection), and a service including revisions to certain electrical connectors, spheres, battery, and brand-new tyres.
Depending on need, various spare parts currently in stock will also be included with the car (he’s parting with his last few vehicles, plus various sealing parts accumulated over 30 years).
