Ex-Chrysler Germany!
Dodge's ambition in creating the Viper was to produce the Cobra of modern times... This goal was quickly achieved, and four years after the introduction of the RT/ 10, the firm presented the second phase, and its supreme declination, named GTS. Here, the V10 is boosted to 450 hp, and two bubbles appear on the roof to accommodate the helmets of drivers in search of... very strong sensations!
In mid-February 1999, the factory sent our example to Germany, where it was registered on June 22 in the name of Chrysler-Deutschland. It remains in its country of origin until 2011, when it joins the garage of a Paris-area enthusiast.
Today, the car is still owned by the same collector, has just over 55, 300 km on the clock and is in excellent condition. The bodywork is sound, with the few faults logical to its mileage. The upholstery is also weathered, but without any particular flaws! It should be noted that, given its European delivery, the make indicated on the registration card is Chrysler, not Dodge.
Since its purchase, Mr. C. has taken care to provide regular maintenance at a specialist garage, enabling his Viper to claim to be in very good working order today (invoices available on request). In preparation for the sale, work was carried out on the clutch system.
There are very few European examples whose history has been followed from the outset... Presented with a very attractive estimate, this is a great opportunity for a collector wishing to purchase the most extreme American sports car of its generation!
