1970 - Lamborghini Espada Chassis no. 7834 French collector's registration Sold without technical inspection Notice: "Rare example sold new in France The Lamborghini Espada, produced from 1968 to 1978, is a 4-seat coupé with a V12 engine developing up to 350 hp. This emblematic model is distinguished by its characteristic Gandini design. Bodied by Bertone, it symbolizes the golden age of Italian GT cars. Only 1, 217 examples of all versions were produced. Our Espada was first registered in Alpes-Maritimes on June 4, 1970, with the number 9999 TB 06. It changed hands before an architect on the Côte d'Azur bought it in 1978. He kept it until 2011, when its current owner purchased it, changing its registration to Vaucluse. In 2012, the car was involved in an accident, when a truck hit the wall of the garage where it was stored, causing it to collapse on its front left side. The insurance company will pay for the approximately €37, 000 worth of work required to replace the damaged parts and repaint the bodywork. The interior has been partially restored in the past. Between 2021 and 2023, over €5, 000 will be spent on mechanical maintenance. This includes the removal and cleaning of carburetors, adjustment of the ignition distributor and an engine oil change. During our inspection, we found a problem with the engine's electrical supply. The car has since been restarted by a professional using a booster. The positive cable linking the battery to the engine has certainly been cut. As this car has been used sparingly since its purchase, an overall check-up will be necessary before taking to the road again.
