Description
An agile, sporty and timeless icon … Champion in its class!
The desirable and mythical BERLINETTE A110 V85 1300 VC …
Produced from 1962 to 1977, the Alpine A110 is the successor to the A108 and was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1962. It was an instant hit and would be produced in 6, 892 copies. In the hands of the famous “mousquetaires,” it would become World Rally Champion in 1971 and 1973 with the flair and success we know!
The V85 1300 model was produced from model year 1970 (July 1969) to 1976. Our example rolled off the line in June 1975, the year of its first registration, and bears chassis number 15689. Its first owner kept it until 1987, when the father of our current owners acquired it. It has been driven very little since. It is therefore a rare second-hand family car … still in its timeless original colour: “Alpine Blue Metallic 341.”
For reference, the engine is a Renault 810-05 of 1289 cc, paired with a 4‑speed Plus reverse gearbox. The exhaust finish here is the famous DEVIL, renowned for its characterful note!
The interior of our example is, like the rest of the car, in a satisfactory condition, notably with leather/ cloth upholstery of the finest effect, and a standard dashboard with perfectly functioning gauges!
The chassis is sound and free from deep corrosion; it was evidently coated years ago with an effective stone-guard protection.
The look is very appealing, as the photos show, thanks in particular to the mythical colour, overall condition, the very distinctive wheels, the long lamps, and the various legendary plates … Note, as is often the case for lighter weight, the absence of a spare wheel on our example.
Since its purchase in 1987, our car has really covered very little distance, especially since the owner’s death in 2008 … His children then carefully preserved the vehicle without much use. Some work has nevertheless been carried out by a garage and a family acquaintance: complete braking system overhaul with master cylinder and reinforced rear lines, front and rear suspension, ignition system, etc. … The vehicle has also undergone a few periodic service checks despite its very low usage.
To date, the odometer shows 45, 850 km on its 5-digit display.
The registration document is Normal, but could easily be upgraded to Collection if desired. The October 2025 technical inspection is … blank!
An appraisal, noting a beautiful used-condition with a serious “as found” definition, was carried out in January 2026. A few minor detail points, if any, may need addressing for perfectionists, for a car well over 55 years old … The appraisal is available in the owners’ file, who are selling the vehicle jointly as part of their father’s estate.
The outings and countryside cruises along winding roads await you in exceptional conditions, with this car having covered so little distance, reliable, legendary and a magnet for all eyes! A superb opportunity to celebrate the marque’s 70th anniversary, just celebrated in 2025 …
For a bit of history, our A110 was even driven during a short road test by the driver François DELECOUR, with a resume of Brno (Peugeot, Ford, Mitsubishi, …), and who happened to be a known contact of the talented regional driver who was the father of our current sellers.
The asking price is well aligned with the recent appraisal, the car’s condition, and the current market value for this sought-after model!
We invite interested parties to discover this fine example by contacting VEITURA to arrange a visit with the owner (Hauts-de-France region, Dept 62), and of course for further information!
Act quickly … Our previous BERLINETTE A110 V85 1300 VC, very similar in spec and price, was sold a few months ago by VEITURA in … less than two weeks!
See you soon!
