Description
Triumph TR3A, 1961.
Exterior dark green, interior dark red leather, white piping and dark red carpeting.
Black mohair hood and tonneau cover.
This Triumph TR3A, sturdy and charming, received a full restoration about twenty years ago.
Driven and lovingly maintained, it remains in superb condition!
During the restoration, the mechanical components were also overhauled; the look, the handling and the sound are impeccable, as if the restoration had been carried out just a few years ago.
The Triumph TR3 was the first production car equipped with front disc brakes and a rugged sports car with a solid rally and competition pedigree. Its 100 bhp four-cylinder engine and rugged build made the TR3A a serious rival in competition and rallying through the 1950s and 1960s.
The TR3A embodies post-war optimism: simple, rugged and endlessly enjoyable to drive.
This example is fitted with silver-spoked wheels, Lucas wide-beam fog/ indicator lamps, an overdrive, power-assisted brakes, auto-retracting seat belts, an electric fan and a MotoLita sports steering wheel with a wooden rim.
The steering wheel retains its original central hub with indicators and a horn push button.
This magnificent example, perfectly maintained, is a joy to drive and handle and offers an exhilarating vintage open-top driving experience!
