Description

L'Atelier des 1000 is delighted to offer for sale this Triumph TR3, presented in an elegant beige configuration paired with a black interior and matching hood.

Introduced in 1955, the TR3 marks a significant evolution of the Triumph roadster range. Succeeding the TR2, it retains the lines that made the model's success whilst benefiting from numerous mechanical improvements, notably a more powerful engine and, from 1956 onwards, front disc brakes—an innovation still rare on a mass-produced car at that time.

Produced until 1962 in over 74, 000 examples, the TR3 quickly established itself as one of the most capable British roadsters of its era. Equally suited to long-distance touring and competition, it participated in numerous international events, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Monte Carlo Rally and the Mille Miglia, contributing significantly to Triumph's sporting reputation.

Thanks to its modest weight, robust 2. 0-litre four-cylinder engine and responsive chassis, the TR3 still offers a particularly authentic driving experience today. Its direct handling, characteristically British driving position and generous torque make it one of the most engaging roadsters of the 1950s.

The 1, 991 cc four-cylinder proves flexible and willing, delivering generous torque that fully contributes to driving pleasure. Renowned for its robustness and ease of maintenance, it remains one of the iconic engines of British sports cars from this period.
Electronic ignition has been added.

The gearbox functions correctly; it offers smooth and trouble-free gear changes.

The chassis retains all the dynamism that made the TR3's reputation. Its direct steering and modest weight provide lively and particularly communicative handling.

Braking functions correctly and the running gear exhibits sound behaviour.

The body-colour wheels feature chrome hubcaps and are shod with recent tyres in good condition.

The bodywork presents fine overall coherence in this elegant beige shade, particularly well suited to the classic lines of the TR3.

The paintwork looks good whilst retaining some light patina consistent with the vehicle's age.

The chrome is immaculate.

The black interior offers a well-presented appearance in keeping with the model's original spirit.

The original Bakelite steering wheel is in fine condition.

The upholstery looks good and complements the exterior colour perfectly. The dashboard, instruments and various controls retain the authentic atmosphere that makes British roadsters of the 1950s so charming.

Given the condition and configuration of this TR3, we are asking €27, 990.
Part-exchange and trade-in considered.
