Description
DS 23 IE Pallas 1974. EXCEPTIONAL: bought in 1976 by my father and since then in my family. Hydropneumatic suspension, odometer 85, 000 km, regularly driven.
Many repairs carried out recently:
- Steering rack (replaced)
- Ignition distributor / breaker points
- Rear spheres
- Fuel-injection wiring loom
- Aerodynamically styled alloy wheels with baked epoxy paint
- Clutch
- Gearbox seals
- 4 new Michelin XVS tyres
- Numerous seals and hoses
- Exhaust system in very good condition
The car was repainted in the 1980s, the bodywork is clean and sound but not perfect.
The chassis is very sound, no corrosion. A small trace of superficial rust around the boot (a well-known issue!). The interior leather shows a beautiful patina, well maintained for 50 years. Only the headlining is coming away; it will need redoing someday but there is no urgency.
The car starts instantly and can cover long distances. Driven regularly, notably in outings of the DS Idéales d’Aquitaine club.
