History
Morris Motor Company boasts a long and remarkable history. The marque enjoyed great success under the direction of William Richard Morris. He originally started out manufacturing bicycles before turning his attention to the motor industry.
The first Morris motor car was produced in 1913. The Cowley factory, near Oxford, eventually became the heart of the enterprise.
During the 1910s and 1920s, Morris produced notably the Oxford and Cowley models. These cars contributed greatly to the company's rapid growth.
The Morris Eight was a small family car produced by Morris Motors from 1934 to 1948. It drew inspiration from the commercial success of the Ford Model Y, whose styling heavily influenced the Morris Eight's design.
The success of the Eight allowed Morris to reclaim its position as Britain's leading motor manufacturer.

The Engine
The engine is a four-cylinder unit with a displacement of 918 cc. The car is equipped with a three-speed manual gearbox with reverse.
This charming Morris Eight Cabriolet was imported from England to the Netherlands in 2020. In England, the car had undergone a complete restoration, with the bodywork removed from the chassis.
Following its arrival in the Netherlands, the Morris underwent a thorough inspection and complete mechanical overhaul, including the engine, gearbox and brakes. Documentation of this work is available.
The previous owner devoted considerable time and effort to returning the car to perfect mechanical condition, and the results speak for themselves. The Morris is now ready to take to the road and be fully enjoyed.
