A RAMBOUILLET VERY BEAUTIFUL MGB CABRIOLET- ROADSTER from 1972 SEEKS ITS NEW OWNER
Fully restored a few years ago with some major mechanical improvements carried out in 2025.
It is a very good car, reliable and in excellent condition, ready to hit the road for any distance.
We are parting with it with regret because we have a few health issues.
It presently shows only 65, 000 miles on the odometer, i. e. 105, 000 km, original guaranteed. Excellent compression, good take-up. Rapidly reached 105 miles on the speedo (almost 170 km/ h) and there was still some theoretical reserve: 96 hp at 5500 rpm - 1798 cc.
Paint: "red signal" in excellent condition. Very nice chromes.
Interior: black vinyl with red piping. Seats in good condition.
Roof in good condition, exterior vinyl thick, interior fabric and very resistant, pretty Véronique chrome.
Oil radiator, Roystyle wheels, Moto-Lita wood steering wheel, three-point seat belts.
Stainless exhaust with a nice sound;
Pirelli Cinturato tyres, nearly new.
No overdrive but a smooth and responsive gearbox. 4 speeds and reverse.
Little or no rust. On acquisition, although it showed little rust, as a precaution and to protect it I had a quality anti-corrosion treatment applied by a professional under the car.
Export USA model 1972, known history, has always been sheltered and protected, taken out in good weather or without rain.

In 2025, the latest major mechanical modifications to improve the car’s qualities and performance are:
- fan with sensors (new)
- high-end electronic ignition (new), loom, spark plugs. Starts first time in summer and winter.
Previous works: front brake calipers, flexible brake hoses, rear axle seals, rear brakes (master cylinders), horn, windscreen washer, etc. invoices available.
Technical inspection valid for another year (it was for 5 years). A full service and a new MOT will be carried out before sale.
