A very beautiful 1972 MGB Cabriolet/ Roadster in Rambouillet is seeking its new owner.
Fully restored a few years ago, with some significant mechanical upgrades carried out in 2025.
It's a very good car, reliable and in excellent condition, ready for the road for any distance.
We are parting with it reluctantly due to a few health issues.
It shows just 65, 000 miles on the odometer, i. e. about 105, 000 km, mileage guaranteed original. Excellent compression, good pulling power. It quickly climbed to 105 mph (about 170 km/ h) on test with still some reserve. Theoretical: 96 bhp at 5, 500 rpm – 1, 798 cc.
Paintwork "Red Signal" in excellent condition. Very nice chrome.
Black vinyl interior with red piping. Seats in good condition.
Roof in good condition, thick exterior vinyl, interior woven fabric and very resistant, nice chrome windscreen surround.
Oil cooler, Roystyle wheels, Moto-Lita wood steering wheel, 3-point seatbelts.
Stainless steel exhaust with a lovely sound;
Pneus nearly new: Pirelli Cinturato, nearly new.
No overdrive but a smooth and responsive gearbox. Four gears and reverse.
Little or no rust. At purchase, although it showed little to none, as a precaution and to protect it I had a quality anti-corrosion treatment applied by a professional underneath the car.
USA export model 1972, known history, has always been garaged and protected, used in fine weather or without rain.
FFVE documents and British Motor Industry Heritage certificate. Collectible registration.
In 2025, the latest major mechanical improvements to enhance the car’s quality and performance were:
- fan with sensors (new)
- high-end electronic ignition (new), wiring, spark plugs. Starts at the flick of the key, summer or winter.
Previous works: front brake calipers, flexible brake hoses, rear axle oil seals, rear brakes (master cylinders), horn, windscreen washer, etc. invoices available.
MOT valid for another year (previously 5 years). A full service and a new MOT will be carried out before sale.
