MANUFACTURED in Germany, it headed to Oregon in February 1977 before arriving in France in 2021.

ENGINE: Type 4 2. 0-litre engine, originally fuel-injected, now modified with two Weber 40 IDF carburettors.
Runs perfectly, with plenty of torque: will hold 100 km/ h indefinitely without issue on varying road surfaces.
Long-geared gearbox, consumption comparable to a 1600 Type 1.
MECHANICS: Fully rebuilt mechanicals: tank, carburettors, ignition, clutch, gear linkage, 5 tyres, brakes, dampers, steering (all ball joints and bushes on the intermediate axle are new) have been completely restored.
EDITION: Manufacturing plate on the steering column shows this is a Combi De Luxe “Champagne Edition”; its original two-tone paint is preserved, as are all equipment: deflectors, cushioned steering wheel, ventilation in the doors, tinted windows…
ORIGINAL PAINT: no perforating corrosion.
EQUIPMENT: fitted with a rare Riviera roof that lifts completely. Interior arrangement with Westfalia recreation installed in 2021.
Seat belts, seat upholstery, stainless steel sink, and new stove and oven supplied with a gas bottle.
