STUNNING MG. B "EVOCATION OF THE MG. B FROM THE 1964 MONTE CARLO RALLY".

That is the cost price of this splendid MG. B “Évocation Rallye Monte-Carlo 1964” of which I am parting reluctantly… I am approaching 76, it becomes difficult for me to extract it, and I also have an evident lack of space at home!
Given the current morose context, I know that I will not sell it at that price…

In 2021, during the Covid crisis, while looking for a model online, I discovered that the MG. B had won in 1964 the famous Monte-Carlo Rally, in its category… This car, known as the “MG. B 7DBL” (its rally registration number) is very famous in England; even in the snow, there are period photos.
Fate had it that this celebrity shares the same colour and MK1 configuration as my 1965 MK1 cabriolet! I therefore decided to create an “evocation” of this famous car from my 1997 European cabriolet, completely restored from A to Z in 2016 by a recognised MG specialist.
I therefore imported a very nice hard-top from England, and to remain faithful to the rally spirit and to maximise reliability of this evocation, I made numerous improvements regarding handling, engine performance and cooling… The list of works is far too long to describe here, but it is available on request.
Today the beauty, corrosion-free, runs like clockwork, with no oil leaks, powered by a lead-free engine, and has covered only around 10, 000 km since its restoration…
Inside, in leather, with an ideal driving position, hands on the Motolita wheel, everything is in excellent display condition, with operation close to new… Aside from the sound of its stainless steel exhaust, no suspicious noises, squeaks or vibrations disturb its on-road performance…
It remains to be seen that the beauty still sleeps in its garage and does not come out in wet weather! I have kept all invoices for the parts upgrades. I also have the photo dossier of the 2016 restoration and its expert report…
I have also kept the hood in perfect condition which would allow putting the car back into its cabriolet version.
I wish to sell this car to a true connoisseur, a passionate enthusiast who will look after it…
