Very rare 1988 Mercedes 560 SL, delivered in European specification.
Primarily intended for the American market, 94% of the 560 SLs were delivered to the United States. Our example, however, was delivered to the province of Quebec in its original European configuration, notably with a kilometres odometer and European headlights. The bumpers were replaced with new European-spec units on its arrival in France.
The mileage of 164, 900 km is verifiable thanks to its Carfax and its invoicing file.
A major service was carried out in March 2026 by a Mercedes specialist, for €3, 500.
The car runs perfectly. Its 5. 5-litre V8 delivering 235 bhp makes it capable of long journeys as well as enjoyable roadster-style drives.
The bodywork is sound, with no dents or scratches. The paint is very well preserved. The chassis is clean and free of corrosion.
The original interior is in very good condition, with preserved carpeting and well-preserved grey leather (code 278).
The black soft top, replaced some time ago, shows no faults, as does the original hard top.
This 560 SL, part of the final R107s produced, benefits from all the model's evolutions as well as modern equipment such as ABS and airbags.
Equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission and power steering, it is very easy to drive on all types of road. It can be used in winter with its hard top or converted to open-top in summer.
SLs still offer excellent value for money and strong mechanical reliability.
