Blue Sera Original Testarossa ‘5 Bolts’. When new, it was delivered by the renowned Belgian Ferrari dealer Francorchamps. Owned since 1989 by two owners, both members of Ferrari clubs. Almost impossible to find in this colour combination. Supplied with a pouch, books, including a stamped service booklet and invoices covering all maintenance of the car. The last belt change was performed in 2022. A rising star in the Ferrari investment world, powerful and reliable to use.
Model description
The Ferrari Testarossa was powered by a rear-mid-mounted 12-cylinder flat-12 engine in a 180° V layout and not a true Boxer like Porsche 917’s flat-12 (which is also a flat engine); it was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1984. It is the penultimate standard car to roll out of the Maranello factories while Enzo Ferrari was alive, who died in 1988. A genuine ‘must’ of the 1980s, it has since entered Ferrari folklore, although its side vents were criticised by some purists at launch.
The Testarossa would enjoy an international commercial career until 1991, and would see two evolutions, more mechanical than stylistic: the Ferrari 512 TR in 1992 with a facelift at the front, and at the rear quarter panels with the removal of the grilles for a more aerodynamic profile, subtly altering the car’s silhouette, and whose power was increased to 428 horsepower for a top speed of 313 km/ h, followed by the Ferrari F512 M in 1994 with 440 horsepower for a top speed of 312 km/ h.
