Description
This 1972 Porsche 911 Ölklappe is one of the rarest air‑cooled 911s ever built and offers one of the purest driving experiences. It was originally delivered to Hamburg with matching numbers, all of its factory options, as well as the very special Aubergine colour, available only by special order.
To bring this rare classic to perfection, it has undergone a full nut‑and‑bolt restoration. The bodywork was completely stripped, sanded, repaired and repainted in its original colour, with a textile treatment applied where needed. The engine was completely rebuilt by BMR, and the gearbox fully overhauled by Porsche specialists BassantParts. All bushes, rubbers and suspension bearings are new, the brakes have been rebuilt, and the chromed components redone. The car has been meticulously tuned and aligned by experts — ready to hit the road immediately, even for a trip to the south of France.
Inside, the leather seats have been restored to original specifications, and a period Blaupunkt radio provides an authentic touch. Outside, the car is fitted with polished Fuchs wheels, with rare Carrera RS rear wheels to improve stance and handling — a detail appreciated by enthusiasts.
This 911 is accompanied by a Porsche Classic Birth Certificate, confirming the engine, transmission and chassis numbers, as well as all original options: Comfort Pack 470, front headrests, rear tow hook, anti‑roll bars, antenna with speaker and fog lights. Every step of the restoration is fully documented, with invoices and more than 400 photos.
A truly exceptional 911, perfectly restored and exceedingly rare, this Ölklappe is ready to delight its next owner, with purity and no compromises.
