A purists' favourite, it is the last in the line to benefit from the mythical S54, the 3. 2-litre inline-six shared notably with the M3 E46. Smooth at low revs, savage and metallic as the revs rise, it will be remembered as one of the most accomplished engines in the marque.
Produced in only 4, 200 units, the Z4 M Coupé is a fairly rare sports car, and its distinctive styling, credited to Chris Bangle, remains striking today, notably with its long bonnet and the 'Z' cut into the flanks
