Overall good condition
In 1963, BMW unveiled the 700 LS at the Geneva Motor Show. If it had retained the 700 cc engine, its bodywork was extended by 32 cm towards the rear to provide more comfort for rear passengers. Particularly well equipped, this model was better suited to families. Already wired for 12V (whereas the standard at the time was 6V) the standard equipment now included a clock, instrument lighting, a reversing light, front deflectors … and finally a fuel gauge!
The BMW 700 sits among the popular cars, but with a very positive reputation given its build quality and the originality of its powertrain. Halfway between the post-war micro-cars like the Isetta or Messerschmitt KR 175 and small popular saloons, its original and capable powertrain earns it a special look from enthusiasts. It also has the advantage of bringing a fresh breath to the post-war 'popu' circle.
Mechanically, the BMW 700cc engine is trouble-free, and at worst all parts are readily available.
