What started as a simple 1965 Mustang Fastback has today become something completely different. No longer just a classic pony car, but more like a steroid‑loaded grizzly bear. A Fastback rebuilt from scratch, to absolute perfection.
The story begins in Belgium, where the previous owner bought the car as a naked bodyshell with parts. In 2021, it becomes an obsessive restoration project, ultimately costing more than €125, 000 — and it shows everywhere. The bodywork was fully stripped and every component, down to the last bolt, galvanised to original specifications. Nothing was left to chance.
Under the bonnet beats an incredibly powerful heart: a Ford 351 Small Block, bored to 408 cubic inches — about 6. 7 litres of pure aggression. This monster was built entirely by Performance Mustang in Hawaiian Gardens, California, with a high compression ratio, Holley carburettor and fuel system, MSD ignition, a three-row aluminium radiator, and a bespoke C4 automatic transmission.
Result? Over 500 horsepower at the crank and more than 410 horsepower at the wheels. A power that commands respect.
To tame this beast, the car has been completely redesigned. It now features a bespoke chassis, reinforced rear axle, Eaton high-performance locking differential, disc brakes on all four corners, and a bespoke twin exhaust that growls like a grizzly waking from hibernation.
Inside, you enter a cockpit where vintage charm meets modern craftsmanship. The cabin is fully clad in Alcantara, with contrast stitching, bespoke floor panels, customised headlining, and authentic Recaro seats. Not to forget the Kevlar bonnet. American performance wheels complete the package.
With an exceptionally comprehensive restoration dossier — enough to crash a computer — and with all invoices available, the documentation is exhaustive.
This is a one-off specimen. A unique creation, built with passion and precision, and there would still be a lot to say.
