️Very good condition, genuine, VW certificate, matching numbers / colour
️Maintained without sparing expenses: cylinder head reworked, valves, bearings, ignition as well… Last major service (€4, 100) with Voitures Vintage (youngtimer specialist) in October 2024: timing belt + water pump, the entire KJetronic system, fuel pump, all fuel pressures… Recently replaced: right-hand transmission, 4 bearings, brake master cylinder + bleeding.
️Upholstery: black/ red scratches on the KL pattern, with slight wear on the fabric at the bolsters/ driver’s cushion. Dashboard with a Mars red trim: production only between September and December 1980! Original rigid headlining in excellent condition.
️Bodywork restored in 2017/ 2018 in its original L31B colour. No corrosion, of course.
️Bought new in Switzerland in 1980, where its first owner kept it until 1996, when it arrived in France. 6 owners from 1980 to 2010; I’m the 7th since May 2012. Lots of invoices (around sixty) proving serious maintenance over the years. Clear paperwork file. FFVE certificate obtained, allowing the future buyer to apply for a collector registration plate so it can be driven in ZFE.
The MOT inspection is OK.
