Description
Mercedes-Benz 220 SE Coupé W111 in excellent condition.
Registered for the first time in Spain and registered in Madrid under the registration plate M-301820 in 1962; it was recorded as a historic vehicle (VH) by its previous owner in 2018.
It has belonged to its current owner since 2023, the date on which he acquired it with the aim of undertaking a complete restoration, completed in late 2024. The immaculate work carried out on the bodywork is remarkable: corrosion-free, it shows no defects and no treatment has been used to mask any imperfection, allowing appreciation of the precision of the adjustments and achieving an optimal finish.
The car features an elegant two-tone paint. This Mercedes-Benz, in dark blue colour “Dunkelblau” (DB 332) with a white papyrus roof “Papyrusweiß” (DB 717), respects the original Mercedes-Benz colour codes for this 1962 model.
Mechanically, it is equipped with a very high-performance Bosch mechanical fuel injection system, its original M127 engine (no. 127. 984) and its original gearbox (matching numbers), both in perfect working order and road-ready.
The interior stands out for its impeccable appearance and finish; the use of premium navy blue leather is particularly notable. The seats and door panels are matched to the floor, contrasting with the white micro-perforated headliner and the hand-finished wood dashboard, as well as with the original instruments, perfectly functional.
Finally, it should be noted that this vehicle is a flagship piece and a tribute to Stuttgart engineering from an era when cars were built to last forever, guaranteeing and attesting to extended road use that justifies every euro invested, placing us thus before one of the best models available on the European market.
