Description:
A magnificent and rare 1967 Mercedes 250 SE Cabriolet (W111 Type). A true icon of the 1960s, this cabriolet blends elegance, comfort and mechanical nobility thanks to its Bosch mechanical-injection 6-cylinder engine.
This specification features an elegant Navy Blue paintwork (two-coat finish) paired with a cognac leather interior.
Overall condition & technical observations:
Mechanical & Chassis:
The vehicle starts and runs correctly.
The fuel tank is recent and the car is fitted with 4 disc brakes.
The exhaust shows normal superficial corrosion. At chassis level, the wheel-arch metal sections in the boot (left and right) have been replaced in a standard way.
Bodywork:
Overall presentation is very smart. Note that there are a few localised imperfections and swelling caused by internal corrosion in the wings (upper and lower sections of the front wings, as well as the lower part of the right rear wing) to be addressed as part of a future restoration.
Interior & Equipment:
The original cognac leather upholstery shows the effects of time (dry leather and splitting on the front seats, worn driver’s door card) but still retains a superb vintage ambience. The black hood is in good overall condition, with the mica well preserved. The upper wooden trim pieces on the dashboard have received a protective varnish coating; the rest is well kept.
A particularly rare and sought-after model (only 954 units produced), ideal for a discerning collector or as a fun restoration project on a sound and authentic basis.
