I bought this Mercedes on a genuine whim. Without any special options, in manual gearbox, it presents itself in raw condition and makes no attempt to be anything other than what it is. This authenticity, it conveys willingly, sincerely, generously with charm and elegance thanks to the superb marriage of its "Caledonian green" colour and the checked fabric accentuating that vintage character so sought after today. Another distinctive feature, this W116 has no corrosion and its paintwork is partly original. I haven't simply bought a Mercedes W116 but I've carefully chosen this particular example. Its overall running condition is exemplary. I've covered 1500 kilometres at its wheel with great pleasure, impressed by its comfort, surprised by its quietness and its suppleness, as if transported back to the 1970s which it embodies so well today. It seems that its original condition has been preserved, emanating a delightful atmosphere of nostalgia. This collection of sensations makes it unique, endearing and desirable. This example demonstrates that the true value of a classic car doesn't necessarily lie in its price but in the pleasure and emotions it brings. A fine object for a true enthusiast sensitive to originality and rarity.
