Description
This Porsche 911 is an exceptionally faithful reproduction of the legendary 2. 8 RSR, built with a clear objective: to recreate not only the appearance but, above all, the mechanical philosophy and driving character of the original competition cars.
Developed over six years, the project relied on an authentic 1973 911 chassis and was entrusted to recognised specialists. The engine was enlarged to 2. 8 litres and fully rebuilt by the Porsche Centre in Liège, incorporating RSR solutions faithful to the era such as twin-spark ignition, a specific lubrication architecture and the appropriate Bosch mechanical fuel injection system.
Rather than a purely aesthetic homage, this car was designed as a coherent and functional interpretation of an early 1970s private RSR. The chassis, braking system, bodywork and interior were all prepared in line with practices of the time, engaging renowned suppliers and components known for historical racing builds. Each aspect was addressed with the same question in mind: “Is this how it would have been done at the time?”
At the wheel, the result is a raw, living and deeply analogue 911 – light, loud and mechanical as only those early racing cars can be. The car offers immediacy, throttle response and visceral feedback that made the 2. 8 RSR such an icon on circuits and rallies across Europe.
