Description
I am selling my 1957 MGA 1500, a classic convertible in excellent condition.
This vehicle was bought at OSENAT auction in Fontainebleau in June 2025 as part of an estate.
It belonged to a collector of English cars who had owned it since 2006 but had driven very little. Previously, according to the owner and Histovec, it belonged to a professional owner since 1974 who had it fully restored. The bodywork was fully dismantled and repainted, hoses replaced, upholstery redone, the engine overhauled. Aesthetic and practical modifications were made (MK2 grille and rear lights, modified dashboard).
After purchase in 2025, the car was started up again. The necessary repairs were carried out by Oliver's. All fluids were changed (engine, gearbox, differential, brakes...). An oil filter kit, an electronic cut-off switch and electronic ignition were fitted. The carburettor was tuned after replacing the seals and float. Everything has been adjusted and checked. Water pump, belts, crankshaft pulley, fuel tank, ignition loom, coil were replaced. Invoices are available.
The car is in excellent condition, the paintwork and upholstery are perfect, the chromes are not pitted, the tyres nearly new... It can be driven on road for any distance.
I removed the hood which was in poor condition to replace it with a tonneau cover and a hard top that I restored. The hood frame and side screens are available.
I’m parting with it for financial reasons and am selling it at cost price. The car is viewable in Fontainebleau.
It’s a perfect vehicle for the summer to come!
