My “Gazouillette” has been with me for many years. I’ve always chosen to keep it exactly as it is, without trying to hide the marks of time. On the other hand, I’ve always placed great importance on its mechanical upkeep. For some time now, I’m unfortunately no longer able to look after it. I probably should have come to terms with selling it earlier, but it was hard to let go. Today, I want it to find a new owner who will give it the attention it deserves. I’ve deliberately prioritised a very complete photographic dossier rather than a long description. That way, 2CV enthusiasts can judge its condition for themselves. Until it was last maintained, about two years ago, it was running very well. Since then, I haven’t tried to restart it. I’d rather leave that re-commissioning to its future owner, to avoid any unsuitable fiddling after a long period of being laid up. The car is sold as is, with no MOT inspection and no prior re-commissioning. For safety, it’s better to arrange transport on a trailer or flatbed rather than try to drive it back.
