Description
AD Sportscars is delighted to present this elegant 1973 Porsche 911T Coupé 2. 4, finished in a timeless white-over-black colour scheme.
First registered in April 1973, this car is part of one of the most sought-after early periods of the Porsche 911. The 1973 model year represents the final development of the original “long-hood” design, before the introduction of the G-series with contoured bumpers in 1974. With its slim bumpers, long front lid and clean, distinctive silhouette from the first years, the 1973 911 retains the well-balanced proportions that made the original model an icon.
This 911T is a “matching numbers” example, accompanied by its Porsche certificate, its original service book and its Belgian registration documents. Supplied in Belgium, it shows 36, 830 km on the odometer today.
The 911T, with the “T” standing for Touring, was designed as the most accessible and practical version of the first 911 range. Less sporting than the more powerful E and S models, it’s now highly appreciated for its balance, simplicity and user-friendly road manners. Its 2. 4-litre flat-six is the most developed capacity of the first long-hood generation, delivering stronger torque and better flexibility than the earlier 2. 0- and 2. 2-litre models, while still preserving the lightness and mechanical precision that define the driving feel of a classic 911.
Fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this 911T offers the pure, immersive driving experience that made the earliest air-cooled Porsche models famous. The combination of the 2. 4-litre engine, compact bodywork, rear-engine layout and manual transmission gives the car a responsiveness and authenticity that are difficult to match in later generations.
Finished in white with a black interior, the car presents a restrained yet elegant specification. The contrast between the bright exterior and the minimalist cabin particularly highlights the clean lines of the original 911, giving it a timeless, confident stance.
This example has been partially restored and is in immaculate condition. Its overall appearance reflects the charm of an early 911 that’s been well cared for and meticulously maintained: historic interest, mechanical enjoyment and refined aesthetics.
Sitting right at the crossroads between the original spirit of the 1960s-era 911 and the more modern evolution that followed from 1974, this 1973 2. 4 Coupé 911T represents an especially appealing opportunity to acquire one of the last long-hood 911s, featuring the highly desirable “matching numbers” configuration.
