L’atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this 1989 Westfield Seven SE, presented in an elegant blue specification paired with a black interior.
Inspired by the legendary Lotus Seven and a rival to the Caterham Super-Seven, the Westfield SE keeps the core ingredients that made this kind of car such a success: a light chassis, a low driving position, and an especially direct driving experience. A true kit car, it delivers authentic driving feel, with a simple, accessible mechanical approach.
The example we’re offering is fitted with the 1, 600 cc Ford Kent engine, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Imported to France three years ago via a specialist of the model, it wears a restrained yet sporty presentation that really brings out the Seven’s distinctive lines.
Mechanically, this Westfield has benefited from a run of recent work carried out in June 2026. The two double-choke Weber 40DCOE carburettors have been rebuilt with the replacement of all gaskets, the accel pump, and the adjustment of the float bowl height.
On the same occasion, several tune-up operations were carried out: ignition timing adjustment, valve clearance adjustment, and replacement of the spark plugs.
The venturis have also been replaced with 30 mm items to prioritise torque at low revs.
The car drives brilliantly: it starts easily and, with the engine in rude health, it’s eager and delivers an addictive soundtrack thanks to the K&N filters, the stainless steel 4-1 exhaust manifold and its lateral exit.
An oil radiator has also been installed, helping with improved engine thermal management.
The gearbox selects its gears accurately, and the whole mechanical package provides the lively, communicative behaviour you expect from a Seven.
The running gear really adds to the fun: a light chassis and a direct steering feel.
The adjustable SPAX dampers do their job perfectly, especially on the braking side—they’re particularly effective.
The fibre bodywork is in good condition and the paintwork shows no major defects.
The black cabin, simple and driver-focused, remains true to the spirit of the Westfield Seven—where every element is designed to put the driving feel and enjoyment first.
The vehicle does have its hood and side screens in good condition.
The Mini Light wheels are in very good condition and fitted with Hankook tyres from 2023.
Given its condition and specification, we’re offering this vehicle for €19, 490. Part-exchange and swap deals are possible.
