Description
Iconic model from Porsche’s early days, the 356 A 1600 captures the moment when Stuttgart’s young maker reached perfection in balancing elegance, simplicity and sheer driving pleasure. Built at a time when every curve and every mechanical sound carried meaning, it remains one of the most authentic expressions of the Porsche spirit.
Chassis No. 104332 is that of a Porsche 356 A 1600 Coupé, first registered in the United States on 22 August 1958. Imported into Belgium in 1983, it has since been lovingly cared for by numerous European owners.
Between 2017 and 2018, the car underwent a complete restoration—chassis separated from the body—by Oldtimer Farm in Belgium. Every mechanical and aesthetic component was carefully rebuilt or reconditioned, and comprehensive photographic documentation attests to the quality of the work carried out. The original engine, a 1. 6-litre flat-four with matching numbers, was fully overhauled, ensuring both its authenticity and reliability.
Finished in elegant Meissen Blue with a dark red leather interior, this car presents beautifully, inside and out. The speedometer shows 28, 518 km—mileage since its restoration. It comes with a Belgian Certificate of Conformity (COC), and its maintenance is up to date.
Powering the 356 A is a 1, 582 cm³ flat-four engine developing 60 bhp (44 kW), matched to a highly precise four-speed manual gearbox. Compact, light and delivering exceptional driving enjoyment, it remains one of the most rewarding classic experiences—equally well suited to collectors as to everyday use.
A fine example of some of the purest expressions of Porsche’s early DNA, this 356 A Coupé offers timeless style, technical authenticity and the refined charm that defines the brand’s golden era.
