Description
MGA 1600 MK II roadster, year 1962.
Orient Red, black leather interior and black hood.
This magnificent MGA 1600 MK II was sold new in the United States.
In 1999, it was imported to the Netherlands and then restored.
The restoration was carried out in accordance with the original factory specifications; this MGA 1600 MK II roadster still has all its original details!
The MG has been perfectly maintained over the years, so it’s in good condition!
It shows a few signs of wear and age that add to its vintage charm.
This MGA 1600 MK II model is quite rare and stands out thanks to its distinctive grille with recessed slats, its horizontally shaped new-design rear lights, its vinyl-covered dashboard under the windscreen and, of course, its 1600 MK II badges on the bonnet. The MGA 1600 MKII, whose only technical difference compared to the MGA 1600 was its larger engine (1, 622 cc) developing 93 bhp at 5, 500 rpm, was mainly down to increased power.
Up until June 1962, the MGA 1600 MKII was available as a coupe and as a roadster; from June to September 1962, only the roadster was offered.
After that, MGA production stopped and MG B production began.
In total, 8, 719 examples of the 1600 MKII were built.
This MGA is fitted with silver-painted wire wheels with chrome nuts and air deflectors around the windscreen.
This magnificent MGA 1600 MK II offers exceptional driving feel and road holding; it’s ready for all adventures in the hands of its new owner!
