This magnificent “Big Healey” was imported from the United States in 2000 and was restored in detail between 2005 and 2006. A photo report and the restoration invoices are provided.
Since arriving in the Netherlands in 2000, it has had only two Dutch owners. The most recent owner cherished it from 2005 and covered 18, 000 miles behind the wheel.
This Austin Healey is in excellent condition and has matching serial numbers; a British Motor Heritage certificate confirms this.
The Mk III is an evolution of the “Big Healey”, distinguished by a more luxurious dashboard finished with woodwork, a more comfortable interior, an easier-to-handle hood, and an improved rear suspension for greater driving comfort.
This superb example is fitted with highly sought-after options, including an electric cooling fan, electronic ignition, an alternator, a more modern and more powerful starter motor, and a stainless-steel exhaust system. The gearbox, overdrive and steering have been overhauled a few years ago. New wire wheels fitted with brand-new Vredestein tyres have recently been installed.
