Selling it for another project: a 1968 Renault 8 S Type R1136.
Mileage not guaranteed on the clock.
Collector’s registration document in my name. The paperwork will be redone for the sale.
In my possession for 7 years.
The car is in good condition—not a concours winner, but extremely sound. No bodges, no restoration, and it has those appearance flaws; nothing has been hidden.
Starts very well (starter, coil, new spark plugs, new lead/ cable). It drives and brakes. I’ll just need to do a gearbox linkage/ trailing adjustment, or possibly a cable change, but I can’t tinker with it anymore because my health is in a bad way. I won’t be taking any more expenses as I don’t trust anyone on the garage side.
Original car, with its original engine (not an R5 Alpine or anything else). Original R8S shell, and the specific interior for the 1968 model.
The R8S steering wheel is present, but not the 4. 5 jacking wheels/ rims (sold with those 5 Targa wheels).
