The time has come to sell our magnificent 1955 MG TF 1500, in excellent condition. Cream colour with burgundy interior. This is a rare model equipped with a 1500 engine, not the 1250 model. We have owned this car for over 5 years and are forced to sell it for health reasons. We purchased it at an estate sale, where it had been stored for approximately two years. The car is in excellent condition, showing 63, 000 miles on the odometer. It was completely stripped down shortly after our acquisition; the entire bodywork was sanded back to bare metal, then completely repainted, and it now looks magnificent. The chassis has been fully treated and painted; it remains in excellent condition, having never been welded or repaired. The interior is like new, burgundy red in colour with black carpeting. The fuel tank was removed; its interior was treated and repainted. All mechanical components have been checked and everything appears to be in excellent condition. It is equipped with spoked wheels that have been sanded and repainted, and 5 new tyres have been fitted. It has a stainless steel exhaust system. It was equipped with a brake master cylinder and rear brake pistons when we purchased it. New electric wipers. It has new chrome bumpers. The roof frame is in good condition, as is the fabric roof itself, burgundy in colour; the side screens are present but in poor condition, though we have never needed to use them. Everything works, including all the gauges. We have spent over €8, 000 restoring the car to the condition it is in today, but we do not have all the invoices to prove it. The advantage of these cars is that there are several suppliers capable of offering a wide range of spare parts as needed. It drives extremely well for a car that is 70 years old: the engine pulls well and runs smoothly, the brakes are effective and work perfectly. Wherever we go, it attracts admiring glances and thumbs up. It has a classic registration document in my name, and a new MOT. If the advert is online, it means the car is available.
