Description
Since the Giulia arrived in the 1960s, it has captivated everyone with a passion for Italian engineering. From its launch, the Giulia quickly made a name for itself by combining the elegance of Italian design with genuinely thrilling road manners.
This 1974 Giulia Super 2. 0 takes things up another notch. Under the bonnet sits the spirited Alfa Romeo 2. 0-litre twin-cam engine, paired with the highly sought-after five-speed manual gearbox. An engine that's eager to rev, a chassis that begs you to string corners together, and steering that always seems to know where the fun is.
And then there's its rally pedigree. This Giulia hasn't spent its life polishing its chrome outside a café. It's equipped with rally bucket seats, uprated brakes, auxiliary spotlights and a deleted rear bench. In other words: less cappuccino, more espresso.
Better still, it has the results to prove it, including a Tulpenrallye entry.
Originally delivered to Germany before moving to the Netherlands, this Giulia has clearly been meticulously maintained. Its bodywork is remarkably sound, the paintwork looks excellent and its original 2. 0-litre engine remains exactly where Alfa Romeo intended it. The car has benefited from regular servicing and comes with comprehensive documentation.
A lightweight Italian saloon. A magnificent twin-cam engine. Five perfectly spaced ratios. Genuine rally credentials. And enough auxiliary spotlights to convince you that every country lane is a Monte Carlo Rally stage.
