Description
Land Rover 88 Series IIA with tarpaulin from 1965 in excellent condition. Major work carried out 5 years ago. Bodywork and paint completely redone, full mechanical overhaul, all wear parts replaced, new interior trim. Since then the vehicle has only covered 650 km!
Superb metal grille, and inside an equally impressive all-metal dashboard. Glass lights and indicators, elegant Bakelite steering wheel – the timeless Series II from the 1960s is a real gem!
Our vehicle was sold new in Spain where it remains, in Andalusia. It has had only two owners.
I can handle the transfer to French registration.
Land Rover Spain History:
Founded in 1956 at a location called "Santa Ana" in Spain, in the Andalusian town of Linares, Metalurgica de Santa Ana manufactured agricultural machinery. Following an agreement with the Spanish Ministry of Industry and The Rover Company Limited, SANTANA began producing Land Rover Series II under licence in 1958, with machinery imported from England, followed by the Series III. Collaboration and production ceased in 1990.
SANTANA vehicles are of equal quality to Land Rovers assembled in England at the Solihull factory. The Spanish versions are distinguished by more "luxurious" seats and interior trim! There are also some differences such as dual-circuit braking, servo-assisted brakes, hinges, and higher-quality steel...
