The Visa Convertible was developed and assembled by Heuliez. Its production remained very limited, with approximately 2, 600 examples across all versions combined, making it today a rare, singular and particularly interesting car for a Citroën enthusiast. Its design is as atypical as it is ingenious: it retains its four doors and a large part of its lateral structure, whilst receiving a wide convertible roof that allows you to enjoy open-air driving without sacrificing the practicality of the saloon. We have a complete restoration file (engine/ chassis/ bodywork). General condition: This example presents excellent overall coherence. The bodywork, interior, roof, engine bay and underside have been restored. The metallic grey configuration, black roof and fine red lateral stripe is particularly successful. It perfectly matches the Citroën spirit of the early 1980s: understated, original and immediately recognisable. Exterior: The bodywork presents remarkably well. The panels are straight, the alignments are regular and the various bodywork elements maintain excellent visual consistency. The grey bumpers, lateral trim strips, lights and various finishing elements are in very good condition. The fine red stripe running along the car adds a typically 1980s touch and elegantly emphasises the Visa's line. The original hub caps are present and perfectly consistent with the car's configuration. The roof is naturally one of the most important elements on this version. It presents particularly well: the canvas is clean and well-tensioned, whilst the transparent rear window remains very clear. The entire system is perfectly functional. Interior: The cabin is in a particularly appealing condition. The grey striped fabric upholstery is very well preserved. The seats retain their shape, the fabrics are clean and the lateral bolsters show little wear. Both the front seats and rear bench testify to a car that has clearly been well looked after. The steering wheel, gear lever, door trim and interior plastics are also very clean. The dashboard retains all its identity with its characteristic Visa controls and its typically Citroën design. No modern modifications detract from the overall presentation. Engine bay: This 11RE is powered by the XW7 petrol engine of 1, 124 cc: - 4-cylinder in-line - 1, 124 cc - carburettor - overhead camshaft - 8 valves - 50 bhp DIN / Torque 84 Nm - front-wheel drive - liquid cooling This engine belongs to the famous "X" family, also used notably on the Peugeot 104.
