Description
LAND ROVER, formerly of the Swiss Army. 1962 Series 2A diesel. Almost entirely original, with a collector’s registration certificate.
This fine Land Rover features a bodywork that bears the patina of age. However, the chassis and bodywork were completely overhauled between 2010 and 2015.
Repainted in beige instead of khaki green. See the photos in the restoration file. It is kept under cover and is only driven in good weather.
The mechanical components were also completely overhauled during the same period by two retired mechanics. New liners, pistons, connecting-rod bearings, injectors, etc. The fuel injection pump has been serviced. Gearbox and differential similarly overhauled. Alternator, starter motor, master brake cylinder and clutch replaced. The car has covered just 9, 000 km since then.
New parabolic leaf springs have been fitted to make the suspension more supple. It comes with its complete, as-new tarpaulin cover and a new ‘bikini’ cover.
Extensive restoration records and invoices for parts. It’s available for delivery anywhere. The price is negotiable within reason.
