The Citroën 2CV has become over the decades a true icon of French motoring.
With its ingenious design, simple and robust mechanics and its philosophy centred on the essentials, it perfectly embodies the spirit of freedom, practicality and lightness that has defined several generations of motorists.
The Citroën 2CV6 emerged in the early 1970s as the most refined evolution of the celebrated Citroën 2CV. It received a flat-twin 602 cc engine, more powerful and more flexible than previous versions. The Club trim is particularly recognisable thanks to its rectangular headlights and large speedometer with ammeter.
The model we are offering was first registered in France on 11/ 05/ 1983.
Its current owner has owned it for 20 years, and has taken excellent care of it, as evidenced by the car's condition and the service history that accompanies it.
Mechanically, the 600cc flat-twin engine runs very well. It starts easily, revs without difficulty and its tune is entirely satisfactory.
A comprehensive overhaul was carried out last year including routine servicing, as well as the installation of electronic ignition, allowing for easier and more reliable long-term use.
The gearbox works very well and the clutch performs its role perfectly, showing no signs of wear.
Driving is pleasant, true to the spirit of the car, the running gear is sound, and the dampers offer good handling and appreciable comfort on outings.
The original wheels are in excellent condition and are fitted with tyres in good working order.
The paintwork looks excellent and offers a beautiful, even lustre.
Adventure-style black bumpers have been fitted, they are in perfect condition, and these can easily be replaced with standard bumpers for sale.
The chassis is sound and the underside is free from corrosion. The car has had its body removed to replace the front floor panels, as well as protective paint for lasting protection.
The interior is in very good condition and presents a well-maintained appearance, with no notable signs of wear.
The front seats are in perfect condition, however we note that the rear bench backrest is torn, and we are including its replacement for sale.
The instrumentation is fully functional.
The black canvas roof is in very good condition and opens easily.
Given the condition and configuration of this 2CV6, we are asking €12, 990. Part-exchange and trade-ins considered.
