Unveiled in 1955, the MG MGA marked a major turning point in the history of the British make.
As the successor to the TF, it featured an entirely new silhouette, with low, flowing and decidedly modern lines, directly inspired by the prototypes entered by MG in racing competitions.
This stylistic evolution, combined with dynamic handling and simple, reliable mechanics, quickly helped to make the MGA one of the most iconic British roadsters of the 1950s.
Even today, the MGA continues to captivate with its balance, ease of use and the driving pleasure it provides. Lightweight, lively and elegant, it perfectly embodies the spirit of post-war British sports cars and remains a firm favourite amongst classic car enthusiasts.
The example we are offering features an elegant red paintwork, enhanced by a beige leather interior. This colour combination perfectly highlights the timeless lines of the bodywork and gives the car a particularly appealing appearance.
Under the bonnet lies the 1, 489 cm³ four-cylinder engine, mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. With 35, 900 miles on the clock, this MGA has recently undergone extensive mechanical servicing and is now in excellent working order.
Its overall presentation is particularly appealing. The bodywork is of a high overall standard, the chrome trim is in excellent condition and the leather interior has been carefully preserved. The soft top, also in excellent condition, completes a cohesive and particularly well-presented package.
