Description
Renault 12 TS, July 1977, silver grey, sold by the family who bought it new. One owner since new, 49 years, confirmed by the HistoVec report. It is still on the road and regularly used.
Five-digit odometer that has rolled over to zero twice, documented by the official MOT history: between 1998 and 2000, then between 2016 and 2018. Current display reads 45, 109 km, equating to approximately 245, 100 km actual. It is this figure that is declared here. Mileage prior to 1995 is not documented anywhere, as MOT testing was not mandatory before 1992: the true total may therefore be higher.
A usage car, not a preserved collector's car. Bodywork straight and complete, original interior in good used condition, mechanicals running well. Weak points, all photographed: corrosion on the rear wheel arches and the lower sill on the driver's side, oxidation of the window surrounds and roof gutter, bodywork repairs to be allowed for. Typical surface rust underneath. Bumper chrome pitted.
18 consecutive MOTs since 1995, without any interruption. Three MOT failures in 30 years (2002, 2006, 2023), all cleared within a few days. Last MOT passed on 06/ 06/ 2025. Maintained to schedule, last oil and filter change in March 2025. No outstanding finance, never declared an insurance write-off, not imported, never a duplicate V5C logbook.
The current MOT is valid for road use until June 2027, but not for sale. An MOT of less than 6 months will be carried out for the sale and handed to the buyer.
Viewable in the Manche (50).
A spare engine and a lot of spare parts for the model are kept by the owner. This lot has not been itemised and is not included in the advertised price. It can be examined and discussed on site, directly with him, during the viewing of the vehicle.
