Description
We are delighted to offer this 1959 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7, owned by the same French owner for almost 30 years and accompanied by an extensive file of invoices documenting its maintenance and the many works carried out over the years.
The car is finished in an elegant white, “Old English White”, which suits the lines of this British roadster perfectly. Its long bonnet, curved wings and wide chrome grille are complemented by numerous chrome details, including the bumpers, the auxiliary driving lights and the wing-mounted mirrors. Wire wheels complete this very classic presentation.
Inside, the cabin features black upholstery accented by light piping. The interior was redone in 2007, with the refurbishment of all four door panels, the front and rear seat backs and cushions, the dashboard, and the floor trim and carpets. The car also comes with its side screens and tonneau cover.
A new black mohair hood was also made and fitted in 2020, completing the car and keeping the overall presentation consistent with the interior.
Under the bonnet sits the famous 3. 0-litre straight-six, mated to a manual gearbox. An engine that contributes fully to the character of the 3000, with generous low-down torque and a particularly rich exhaust note.
This example benefits above all from a particularly comprehensive service history. The most recent work carried out by professionals concerned the running gear, the transmission, the bushes and various suspension components. In 2020, a major intervention covered the front end, the exhaust system and several ancillary components.
With almost 30 years under the same owner, its extensive invoice file, its original four-speed gearbox and the many works carried out over time, this Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 has a particularly interesting history for an enthusiast wishing to enjoy one of the great British roadsters of its era.
