The Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS is an ultra-lightweight Dutch sports car, built for the track and produced in very limited numbers. With only 40 examples built worldwide, the D8 GTO-RS embodies the very essence of the Donkervoort marque.
This example was built to the order of Prince Bernhard Jr of the Netherlands and features numerous bespoke options. Prince Bernhard wished to use it at the Dutch circuit of Zandvoort, which he owned. That's the Dutch spirit in a nutshell!
The car is generously equipped with carbon fibre components. It is finished in a unique, almost chameleon-like colour that shifts with the light. It is number 18 of the 40 units produced.
Showing just 9, 254 km on the odometer, it is offered by its second owner, who acquired it in 2021. It has never been accident-damaged. It is an exhilarating car to drive, not least thanks to its manual gearbox. Far more than a mere car, it is a true experience!
The vehicle is registered in the Netherlands and has a recent APK (MOT) inspection.
The Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS is powered by a turbocharged 2. 5-litre five-cylinder Audi engine, producing well over 380 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Weighing around 695 kg, it dispatches 0–100 km/ h in just 2. 7 (!) seconds and reaches a top speed of 280 km/ h. Its lightweight carbon fibre bodywork, hybrid chassis and five-speed manual gearbox make it a sports car of rare intensity. You really have to see it in person to grasp everything that makes it so exceptional!
