This Rover 3500 S, fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, an electric sunroof and diamond-cut alloy wheels, was delivered to Italy in 1974. Sadly, the seller knows nothing of its history in Italy.
In July 2021 it featured in an article in the Italian classic car magazine "Manovella", and in December 2021 it was mentioned in the German magazine "Oldtimermarkt".
Shortly before that, it had been imported into Germany by a classic car dealer. The dealer sold it to a resident of North Rhine-Westphalia, who had it fully serviced and had the leather upholstery re-trimmed.
In 2025, this same owner acquired a Citroën DS Break, which the seller had fully restored over three years. The Rover was meant to be a temporary car while he waited for the restoration of his dream DS, so they took it back in order to sell it.
In the meantime, they dismantled the fuelling system, had it serviced, then reassembled it.
