The Appeal

In the late 60s and early 70s America was going scrambling mad. The CL450 Street Scrambler was Honda's tilt into the market with a variant of its popular and powerful 450 bike.

Aside from its tarmac and dirt capabilities, the joy of a CL450 is just how good it looks. This 1973 example proves the point, helped by a raft of work in 2023 described by the seller as a ‘full restoration.’ Its Candy Red paintwork gleams and buyers will note the evocative high pass exhausts.

The 2023 work included new wheels, exhaust, tyres and seat. There are a couple of points to note cosmetically and it will need a new petcock. Whether you choose to ride it or display it, this is a lovely evocative classic scrambler.
