The Appeal

Rumour has it that Jaguar founder William Lyons acquired Daimler simply to get his hands on one engine. Jaguar had the excellent XK straight-six, so Lyons must have seen something very special in Edward Turner's V8.

Based on the celebrated Mk2 platform, the Daimler 250 put that excellent V8 to good use, creating a powerful, refined saloon that sat above its Jaguar-badged counterpart in the range.

This 1969 example is offered as an honest, straightforward classic. The vendor acquired it in July 2025 and has not carried out any work. It comes with limited paperwork, but is reported to be in good running, driving order, ready for a new custodian to take to the next level.
